Computer and Information Sciences Building
The Computer and Information Sciences building also serves as home to the department’s activities as a founder member of the newly announced £40m Institute of Coding. The world-class consortium of 25 universities has been launched nationally by the Government to plug the digital skills gap and give UK an edge in the global digital economy, with Northumbria set to play a leading role.
Newcastle Business School
Having been awarded Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) double accreditation in business and accounting, Newcastle Business School are part of an elite group of business schools worldwide. The School is also accredited by EPAS for 21 undergraduate programmes – more than any business school in the UK.
University Gallery
The Woon Gallery of Asian Art is the latest chapter in the University’s long and successful relationship with retired Singaporean lawyer and Northumbria alumnus Mr Wee Teng Woon and the Woon Brothers Foundation. The Gallery and Collection is a dynamic centre for teaching Northumbria programmes including Conservation; Fine Art; Creative Industries Management; Visual Cultures; Fashion; History; and Design. It is also used to develop a programme of workshops and school visits, which are supported by educational materials.
Student Central
The multi-million pound investment has revamped the original 1969 Library into a light and airy space designed to host all of the award-winning support services that students need, in one place at the heart of campus. Student Central marks the next stage of the transformation of professional services dedicated to offering an outstanding student experience at Northumbria.
