74 Overseas Pharmacy Schools Removed from Singapore Pharmacy Council’s Approved List

July 20, 2019

The total duration will be 7 years (3 years diploma + 4 years degree). 2+2 Twinning programmes (popular option in Malaysia) A popular option in Malaysia is that students join one of Malaysia’s private institutions for the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) programme for 2 years and transfer to a respective foreign university overseas partner to complete the degree in another 2 years. As of 1 August 2020, this option of obtaining a pharmacy degree will not be registrable in Singapore. Time saving alternatives after O Level/IGCSE  (Australia and UK): A more time saving pathway to obtain a pharmacy degree is to gain admissions to a UK or Australian foundation programme (1 year) and progress to a Pharmacy degree programme (4 years)  approved by the SPC.
