What will I study?
You'll study four GCE A-levels examinations from the academically rigorous Cambridge International Exam board curriculum.
Exciting practical work will reinforce your theoretical knowledge, classes, and coursework. These offer the perfect opportunity to relate your studies to real-world situations while having fun and learning new skills.
The INTO Newton A-level programme averages one teacher for every eight students. This means you'll enjoy high levels of individual attention and feedback for your education.
They'll help you adjust to the experience of studying in a new environment. And modules will also cover study methods and examination techniques to help build your confidence.
INTO Courses at INTO Newton A level Programme
You’ll study four A level qualifications in an academic pathway designed to give you maximum success in your chosen area:
Science and Medicine: A levels in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology, and an option of Physics or Psychology
Engineering and Mathematics: A levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics, and an option of Chemistry or Economics
Economics and Actuarial Sciences: A levels in Mathematics and Economics, and an option of Further Mathematics or Physics
Unique enhancement activities will help you make the most of the university location, with the opportunity to attend practical workshops and guest lectures with university academics.
This early higher education exposure offers invaluable preparation for future success with your university of choice - in 2017, 99% of Newton exam grades were A* to C.
Study for Cambridge International Examination Board (CIE) A levels in subjects that relate to the sciences, mathematics and economics.

Academic requirements: | Newton Programme candidates must demonstrate potential for entry to top-ranked universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, US Ivy league or medical schools. For entry onto the programme, you must have completed your education to Year 11 level achieving equivalent to minimum six GCSE passes at grade 6 / B or above. Students intending to progress to Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science: 7-9 / A-A* at GCSE (or equivalent) in at least six subjects, including Mathematics and Science. We would not advise that any student attempt to gain entry to a UK medical school without meeting this minimum requirement. |
