Location/Brighton: Brighton is an amazing, small city with everything just in the city itself. I think that the British are generally very polite and they’re very helpful when you are asking for directions.

The campus: I think that the college building is very modern. You have access to everything. You’ve got accommodation attached to the school. The school provides us with food in the canteen, which is very affordable as well.

Lifestyle: I think that an international education introduces me to a wide variety of cultures, where I get to talk and interact with different people from different nationalities. Whenever I go to different countries, I have friends there who can accommodate me or bring me around.

Career/Future: I think that the teachers gave me a lot of advice about university, like where to go to and how to approach it. They helped me with the UCAS. Lifestyle: Personally, I’ve learnt how to cook. Before, I didn’t even know how to boil water. But it is very nice to learn those skills. "Multi-cultural experience
One of the best experiences I had at Bellerbys was studying with a vast number of people from different cultures. I got to know more about their lifestyle and how people do things in other countries. I’ve learned that it is important to become a global thinker, because in the real world you have be able to work with people from another nations. Things may be different in terms of your culture and your understanding, and things might get difficult along the way, but I realised it was fun being able to study in this melting pot of cultures.

Advice
I advise all A Level students to never give up, be passionate about what you’re studying and focus on the long way ahead. Understanding a subject is more important than trying to get down loads of facts and trying to reproduce everything. This provides the building blocks towards your higher education, because university is about independent study and finding out what you’re passionate about. Understanding is the most important thing you have to think about when preparing for A-Levels. That’s the one thing you guys should strive towards.

Why Bellerbys?
When I was studying in Singapore, I looked at various opportunities that I had for studying abroad, and found that the United Kingdom follows the A Level system which I was used to doing back home. The second factor was that I looked at the promotional videos of Bellerbys, and found that it was a vibrant and interesting place to be, and I wanted to experience that life for myself. I was fortunate enough to be able to come here and study, and at the same time enjoy what the city has to offer.

I would like to thank the teaching staff because my tutors were very passionate about their subjects and tried to make their lessons interesting, which just captivated me. There may be times when you feel demotivated and you don’t want to study, but the staff at Bellerbys come up with interactive classes to keep you interested.
