History of Pharmacy in the UK

There are over 30 Master of Pharmacy programmes from different providers throughout the UK and 12 of them are recognised by the Singapore Pharmacy Council (SPC) . The Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain was founded in 1841.The Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain was replaced by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the General Pharmaceutical Council in September 2010. The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is the body responsible for the independent regulation of the pharmacy profession within England, Scotland and Wales, responsible for the regulation of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises.

Singapore Pharmacy Council recognised UK institutions for Pharmacy Programmes

The 2020/2021 tuition fee for a Master of Pharmacy ranges from £16,770 (approx. SGD 30,341) to £24,650 (approx. SGD 44,593) per year and the duration is 4 years. Minimum entry requirements are A-Level or Polytechnic Diploma. Students with O-level qualifications may complete a foundation course in the UK before progressing to the Master of Pharmacy.  Below are the list of UK institutions that are recognised by Singapore's SPC (Tuition fee from the lowest to the highest).
